The Signature Series is comprised of pieces that are composed for young bands. There are technically very accessible, yet sound very mature. Brass ranges are limited to concert F. Each chart can be opened up for improvisation. Solo sheets are provided and the solo progressions can be played using only one or two scales, but full chord scale information is also provided. This way the solo sections are accessible to younger players, but remain challenging for more experienced players.
These pieces will "sound" with a smaller band as well as with a full band. Optional parts are included for flute, clarinets and French horn for the director who would like to include students playing non-traditional jazz band instruments in the jazz program.
Each chart includes a full score with rehearsal suggestions. Rhythm parts are written out and include chord symbols. $40.00 each.
