You can set your program
apart by commissioning Rick to compose an original
chart for your band. A commissioned work is
tailor made for your band, and can feature your
strong sections and soloists. The commissioning
band has exclusive use of the piece for the
school year in which the piece is commissioned.
After that time, the piece goes into the Rick
Stitzel Music catalog. Because of this unique
situation, commission fees are lower than one
might expect.
In addition to being a first rate jazz composer,
Rick is also a fine clinician. He is available
for big band clinics, improvisation clinics
